Well, most likely the William Moore I'm talking about is not the one and same as yours. However, you should actually consider doing the DNA thing. I found a line of Moore's that split back in the late 1700's and was able to confirm that we had a recent common ancestor, and was able to figure out who it was. Since so many generations had split me and the other tester, it pretty much proved that all my research had been correct. Even if you don't have anyone to compare with, you really never know who you might match up with.

Very easy to do, but does cost about $165 I think. I recommend the 37 marker test, but no matter what at least do the 25.
