Theodore Washington Moore was born in 1821 in Ohio. As far as I know, it was
in Muskingum Co, but I can't prove it. He married and died there. He may
have had an older brother William. The 1860 (I think) census shows a William
Moore living with Theodore & his family and terms him an idiot. That's the
only place I find William. Theodore & his wife Cynthia's children were
Barnett Vandervort, 1855; George Washington, 1858; Frances Ellen, 1850;
John, 1863; Phillip Steven, 1865; and Arthur Robert (Bob), 1870. No
Benjamins.

What MOORE do you have in 1821 Muskingum? I'm stuck at a BenjaminMOORE
around the same time, 1820, in Hocking, Fairfield County. Thatsjust a county
over, right along Zane's Trace. There is a JohnstonMOORE in Hocking at the
same time. I'm thinking they may be brothers. He ended up moving a bit south
to Starr, then to McArthurstown inVinton county by 1850. There aren't many
MOORES in southern OH in theearly 1800's. Benjamin has a son, also named
Benjamin, who was bornabt 1801 in PA. His son, Roswell, was born 1834 in
Circleville,Pickaway Co. This is my line.
PA is a big place with a lot of MOORES running about around 1800. Itseems
like most of the MOORES that moved through PA went to northernOH. Benjamin
appears to have gone his own way (this is a trait in myMOORE line carried on
by me), so I'm hoping to find a MOORE line in PAor OH with a missing
Benjamin.
