Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, 1932 -
"The people of Linn and vicinity were shocked and grieved with the information that Mr. Edward Baumgartner, postmaster of Linn, had died suddenly Monday (31 Oct. 1932) night about 8 o'clock while on his way to consult his physician. He had been ill for some days. When he arrived at the Carroll home on Main Street, he fell upon the pavement and expired within a few minutes. Mrs. Baungartner had started to look after her husband at the post office when she met friends who were conveying his dead body to their home.
Mr. Baungartner was 57 years old and a native of Maries Co., having moved to Linn about 10 years ago. He is survived my his widow and three children, Mrs. Clara Eynard, Albert and Harold."
