Jann,
There are no land patents in my book for George H. Bell. John Bell had 3 patents acquired Nov. 23, 1891. They were all in Sec. 7, Townshiip 24-N, Range 12-W. The section parts were NESW, SENW and W1/2NE. The first 2 patents were 40 acres each and the last was 80 acres. They were in the northeastern part of Ozark County. Part of the land was bordered by lots of various sizes owned by Henry W. Herndon and Solomon Moffis. Henry W. Herndon also owned most of the other land around John's. But to the north, there was a patent belonging to James S. Crenshaw which abutted John's land. Other nearby neighbors were Christopher C. Eaton, Dary J. Forrester, Christopher C. Hall, and James M. Eaton.
Malichi Bell had one patent of 160 acres dated June 14, 1987. The description is Sec. 22 NE, Township 24-N, Range 13-W, 5th Prime Meridian. Neighbors were James A. Reynolds, Charles E. Wright, Alexander M. Ayers, and James D. Lambert. County Road 163 crosses his land. Brixey was the nearest town. Most of the land to the north for 3 full sections had no patents as did much of the other land near this parcel. The patent was a little more than 2 sections away from Bryant Creek near Hodgson Mill, in the northern part of Ozark County.
