OLD issues of the Ozark County Times (pre 1900) indicate there were several
"mills." They were not all water mills. Sometimes they get mentioned in the
early newspapers because they burned.

I think the original query on this thread asked about a mill in or near
Gainesville. I do NOT think that would be any of the lovely mills that still
exist today that you can read about on Internet links.
