Dear Mr. Jackson:
If I am reading the passage correctly(in History of Platte Co.)
after the battle of Lexington Col. Winston's Regt. was re-
organized becoming the 2nd Inf., 5th Div. MO. State Guard
under Gen. Early Steen.
A second reorganization took place after Pea Ridge when
the Regt. became the 1st MO. Rifles Inf., C.S.A. with Win-
ston still as Colonel.
Linkville is just north for Ferrelview, MO. but one has to look
quick or else miss it.
