I would not be surprised if they were related; a year or so I did research on the Morans from St. Patrice de Beaurivage with my Uncle (a Moran) and we found that abt 1830 a Thomas Moran came over with his 2 or 3 sons and settled on Belfast Range in St. Patrice. My ggrandfather (John) married a McRae in abt 1829 (at the church in St. Sylvestre; in the records his last name was spelled Morin). And there are still descendants of the two brothers in St. Patrice today. I do remember at the time seeing the odd Moran from Leeds; from memory one was a Mary. I'll have to check my notes. But we could not make a connection with our Morans. Which doesn't mean there wasn't one. Info from the 1830's is not always complete. But I'll check my notes and see if anything comes up. Do you have names etc. of your Morans from Leeds. Perhaps we can trade info. Thanks. Richard.
