My grand father was a nephew to Sichy and Lawson and my mother said when he
talked about her he called her aunt Sit-chee. I suppose when you come from
East Tennessee you can call it anything you want. We have come to find out
that if the name Syche in any spelling comes up in a family you will
eventually follow it back to Psyche Pittman Clevenger or one of her
descendents. Even to my grand daughter Hannah Kathryn Pshcye Pittman.
