You sound bitter, Pat?

People make a lot of mistakes. Census pages I've found with
incorrect name spellings and middle initials and places of birth.
Death certificates filled out with wrong information, because the
person claiming the body doesn't know. Or did the Undertaker or
Sheriff have a hangover? Ha!
Wills dictated, because the sick old man can't write, and the
recorder spells his name three different ways on the same piece of
paper.
I'm not meaning to defend or agree to blame Ancestry.com for
errors. Even those cherished Archives of the LDS and the DAR are
full of errors and inaccuracies.
I think that's why it helps to have many sources of genealogical
information on your family.
