I am looking for CARTER researchers who may have info on this family.

Leander? H. Carter m. Eliza Anne (Davis) Young 24 Apr 1862 Ray Co., MO. Eliza was the former wife of Thomas Young. Eliza and Thomas had one known child: Alice S.L. Young, b. 1850, Ray Co., MO. I have been unable to confirm the death of Thomas Young.
Eliza and Leander may have had only one child together, Mattie b. abt. 1864. It appears that Leander may have had six or more children from a previous marriage.

Jack Hayson if you are there. I have had the 1870 census with Alice on it for many, many months. Took a look at it tonight and realized that the Carter family she is enumerated with is Eliza Anne Davis. Dah! I can't believe I didn't see it before or make the connection.
