Hi,
Does anybody out there know what 'inst.' would stand for in a 1917
obituary? I have an obituary for Sarah Jane (Ball) Ballew.
"Death of a Good Woman"
"Mrs. Jane Ballew breathed her last at her late home in the Georgeville
country on the 6th inst. She was the relict of the late G.W. Ballew, who
died in 1914."
"Her maiden name was Sarah J. Ball, and she was born in this county on the
6th day of January, 1841, making her over 71 years of age at the time of her
demise." There is quite a bit more, and if anybody is interested, contact
me, and I'll type out the whole thing. Right now though, I'm just trying to
nail down the date of death. My late cousin had written in the margin that
her date of death was May 5,1917, and that her birthdate was actually January
29, 1841. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Larry
