Searching for the family Huston who reportedly settled in Ray County around
1857. My husband's greatgrandfather, John Huston was born in Ireland and
came to this country with his parents, Joseph and Susan Huston. He lived
in Kansas for awhile, but died at age 85 in Manchester, St. Louis County
Missouri in 1941. He had worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad as a
blacksmith. He married Susanna (Russell?) who died in Council Grove, Kansas
in 1899. Does anyone know about this family?
