I do not have any info on your Elizabeth Graham. There is an article about
this family (mostly Bates line) in the Ray County History book.
It gives a lot of info about Geroge W. Bates b 12 Jan 1835 m Elizabeth Graham
b. 1 Jan 1836. He was a soilder in the Cenfederate Army. under Col Prince
Sterling d 1862 burine in the confederate Cem Van Buren Arkansas. Alozo ,
son of George, having lost both parents at the age of two was reared by his
Aun Lucy Hix Bates Smith and her husband Peyton T Alonzon . there is more
info on this if you do not have it let me know. It is on page B 46
It starts out in the early colonial days (1638) two Bates brothers came to
America from 'england aboard the steamship Elizabeth. settled in
Massachusetts and Va. They were said to be Scottish Irish descent.
