A friend has asked me if I could help find info about his relation,
Daniel DAWSON, who arrived in Australia in 1861 on the "Red Jacket". I
am pretty sure I have found Daniel's birth 22 June 1834 at Dysart,
Fife and his marriage to Janet BALDERSTON in Edinburgh in 1856. As
he was on his way to Australia at the time he is not in the 1861
Census. I realise this has nothing to do with Moray, but wondered if
anyone had the 1851 census and could look up either Daniel, who I think
is most likely the son of James DAWSON and Agnes BLYTH from Dysart,
Fife, or Janet BALDERSTON, please.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
