Well, it appears this is the best I can do after combing thru piles of paper
here and books. We need to nail the guy down and then maybe I can give you
his line. Alexr and Elspet had (as near as I can tell) 6
children.........this off the IGI. I did a little experiment and asked for
Andrew Innes born within 20 years in Moray-----1720 + or - , and came up
with 4 of them. Then I wondered what the connection was between the 4 male
Innes fathers of these 4 Andrews. You might want to pursue
that........possibly brothers? I could find no Andrew (thinking he was the
father of Alexr) in the 1670+ time frame who married an Elisabeth.Elspet.
My own take on this is to get the film #0990987 from the LDS and see it.
You will be into the old hand writing, so take a magnifying glass. You
might be able to gather some witnesses to the baptisms of the children as
well, and that SHOULD throw some light on it........maybe a grandfather or
brothers or somesuch..... You have your work cut out for you, but if (and
you should be able to work this one out) you can get thru it and gather some
more info, I have major Innes books here and will be glad to help. Found a
site on the net when I was snooping....go to google and try this

sound like yours, but this has an Agnes and I couldn't find any Agnes to
your couple........then I wonder if she got missed, OR if she was a cousin
