I'm currently researching a HAWKINS family who were, between 1843 and
1900, found in the following counties: Ripley County, Shannon County,
Carter County, Iron County, St. Francois County, Phelps County, and
Oregon County, Missouri; and Randolph County, Arkansas. I believe that
all of these Hawkins were all members of the Owen Sutherland HAWKINS
family, and would like to get in touch with anyone who has an interest
in, or knowledge of, any of these families. The following are some of
the names, with associated dates.
1843 - Owen and Rebecca HAWKINS assumed to have been residents of Ripley
County, where Owen's parents, William Carroll HAWKINS and Jane WILSON,
had recently settled
1850 - Owen and Rebecca HAWKINS appeared in Shannon County census with
their children, as well as with Alexander and John HALL (Rebecca's
children from a prior marriage, or Rebecca's younger brothers?)
1860 - Owen and Rebecca HAWKINS appeared in Shannon County census with
their children
1860 - Alexander HALL, son or brother of Rebecca HAWKINS, appeared in
census of Carter County (as Levi A. HALL) with his first wife, Margaret
E., and their children, as well as Margaret's son from a prior marriage,
John McELMURRY
1861 - Sarah Jane HAWKINS, believed to be a daughter of Owen and Rebecca
HAWKINS, married Thomas A. KINARD in Carter County
1868 - Mary Ann HAWKINS, believed to be a daughter of Owen and Rebecca
HAWKINS, married David Barnett LEE in Iron County
1870 - Levi A. HALL, son or brother of Rebecca HAWKINS, appeared in
census of Carter County with his wife, Margaret E., and children
1872 - William Carroll HAWKINS, believed to be a son of Owen and Rebecca
HAWKINS, married Sarah Ann HALL in St. Francois County
1874 - Jesse Russell HAWKINS, believed to be a son of Owen and Rebecca
HAWKINS, married Mary WILSON in Iron County
1874 - Eliza Ellen HAWKINS, believed to be a daughter of Owen and Rebecca
HAWKINS, married Samuel CARLISLE in Iron County
1875 - Levi A. HALL, son or brother of Rebecca HAWKINS, married Sarah Ann
HALL (his second wife) in Oregon County
1876 - Margaret Adeline HAWKINS, believed to be a daughter of Owen and
Rebecca HAWKINS, married Alessis GOILLARD (Alex Grullard) in St. Francois
County
1876 - Sarah Ann (HALL) HAWKINS, believed to be the widow of William
Carroll HAWKINS, married John CLINTON in St. Francois County
1880 - Levi A. HALL and wife, Sarah Ann (HALL) HALL, appeared in census
of Oregon County
1880 - Isaac Wilson HAWKINS appeared in Oregon County census with his
mother, Rebecca HAWKINS, and a four-year-old niece, Mary HAWKINS
1885 - Isaac Wilson HAWKINS, believed to be a son of Owen and Rebecca
HAWKINS, married Mary Ann CLARK
1900 - Sarah HAWKINS, believed to be the widow of James HAWKINS, appeared
in census of Oregon County with some of her children
1900 - Levi A. HALL and wife, Sarah Ann (HALL) HALL, appeared in census
of Randolph County, Arkansas. They lived just west of Elm Store.
Thanks for any help.
