hello all... I've recently discovered this list... I am a descendant of
a Seymour Morris who hailed from the vicinity of South Charleston WV....

he would be on of my paternal GGGrandfathers...

The only reference I have of him is my grandmother's birth certificate
from 1909... he and Ida Mae Barker of Ruth WV are the parents of Hattie
Elva (Morris) Carver who grew up in Emmons on Coal River...

Seymour and Ida Mae never married... the family story: his family didn't
approve of her lowly station in life... My grandmother tells me he died
young, alcoholic and unmarried... but she is gone now too... so I have
no living connections to him...

Ida Mae Barker married James Brady Dunlap and ran Dunlaps Store in Ruth
WV... they had one child together named Virginia who married a William
Humphrey

does this ring anybody's bells?
