David, thank you for caring enough to respond to my query. Just last week I
typed in the name Eugene Debs Morris and actually was lead to the very man
you mentioned! There were quite a few sites with info on him. I did read
them to any extent, tho. I can't hep but wonder where the name Debs came
from, now. First time in 30+ years of research that I have come across that
name!

Back to his father Bolin Green Morris....This name has also been spelling
several different ways in the older records. Boland, Bolan, Bolling! Is
there not a Bowling Green in the Carolina's? I have often thought that this
may have been from where the name derived. The earliest know Morris of this
line was first found in North Carolina! His name was Johm Morris.

As I turned over all of this AZ info I wondered WHY this particular Morris
branch of our tree ended up in Cochise Co. AZ. There are many Morris names
in their county records. Did they perhaps have a relative there that I am
not aware of? Are they somhow relatved to any of them? Or was this just a
change of location for the adventure of it? It was a harse area to live in,
very near to Toombstone itself!!! Perhaps there was mining there or dreams
of some quite money. However this schoolteacher ended up a Rancher!!!!
These migrations are always so interesting.

I did find some Eugene Morris names at rootsweb, from other areas in the
midwest!

May I ask if you are researching a Morris line, too?
Thanks again,
