Thank you for the information. I tend to agree that my Mortons came from
the SC/NC area. William Morton b. 1803 wife Mary A. Gambill Morton b. 1813.
Both list NC as birth state. The Gambill family that is assumed to be Mary's
ancestors, first came to SC.
