I am trying to find out any information on my husband's grandfather, Earl
Albert Smith. He left his wife and children when they were younger and noone
knows what happened to him. My father-in-law just died Memorial Day and had told
me one time, his grandfather, Albert V. Smith had told him Earl was in Texas.
Here's the Smith descendant's.

Achiles Smith (b 1793) in Va, married Patience Sappington (b 1799) in Ky.
They were married in St. Francois Co. 1820 Patience's brother is John
Sappington from Sappington House, Street, Sappington Mo)

Their children were: Elizabeth Smith b 1821 and married Irvin Haile *****
Parke Smith b 1822 married Harriett Clisbee
Catherine Smith b 1825 married John T. Byrd
Nancy b ? married George Tyler
Stephen b 1828
Abrilla b 1829 married John T. Smith
Lethia b 1831 married Henry Watts
Virginia b 1834 married Silas Swank Smith
Eleanor b ? married Thomas Joseph Berkley
Thomas Hart Benton b 1842

Elizabeth Smith and Irvin Haile's children were:
Sena Haile b abt 1850, married Valentine Smith *****
Marion Haile
Steven Haile
Emma Haile
Alice Haile
Lunn Haile
Julia Haile

Sena and Valentine Smith's children were:
Clara Smith
Lulu Smith
Irvin Smith
Albert Valentine Smith
James Harvey Smith

Albert Valentine Smith b 1875, d 1959 married Ida Bell Snyder in 1897 in St.
Francois Co. Ida was born 1878, d 1965

Their son was Earl Albert Smith, don't know when he was born, but he married
Edythe Hattie Maurer (whose family was from St. Francois Co. also).

Earl and Edythe had 3 children: Harry, Earlene and Irene. They all lived in
St. Louis. In a 1936 St. Louis City Directory, I found were Earl and Hattie
lived on 4221a Olive and Mrs. Edith Smith lived at 4467a Cook Ave.

After Earl left Edythe, she married John Filipski. They are both buried at
Mt. Hope Mauseleum in St. Louis. Edythe owned a bar called Kozy Kitten on
Telegraph.

Alvert Valentine and Ida Belle Snyder are buried by Lincoln's Tomb in
Springfield Il.

Ida Belle Snyder's parents were Barry Landsom Snyder and Melissa Cook of St.
Francois. Ida's siblings were Wm Washington Snyder married Lillie James;
Effie Snyder married William Papin; Rose Snyder married Abe Eaton; George Snyder
married Nettie Mathis; Julie Snyder married Charles Edison. All from St.
Francois, Co,
If anyone knows any information on Earl Albert Smith who may have been born
around late 1890's or early 1900, please let me know.
