WILL RECORDS TAKEN FROM THE WILLS OF ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, MISSOURI, VOLUME 1, PAGE 78 AND 79.
WILL OF AMANDA CLAY
Know all men by these presents: That I, Amanda Clay of St. Francois County of the state of Missouri, being of sound and disposing mind and over twenty one years of age, do make and publish this my last will and testament.
1st I give my daughter Julia Inerycqune Clay one bed, bedstead and all that pertains thereto.
2nd I give to my daughter Clara Eliza Clay one bed, bedstead and all that pertains thereunto.
3rd I also give to my daughter Julia Imenagene Clay fifty dollars in consequence of her being diseased.
4th I wish the balance of my entire estate of whatsoever nature both real and personal to be divided equally between my two daughters, Julia Imenagene and Eliza Clay.
5th It is my will that in case either one of my daughters, Julia Imenagene or Clara Eliza Clay should died before they should come of lawful age, that the other surviving daughter should feir my entire estate both real and personal. Lastly I appoint Columbus BEAN executor of this my last will and empower him to colect my entire estate of whatsoever nature, and to pay my debt without administration. Also to sell any property personal or real at public sale and to do any act for the benefit of my children that I could have done. In witness, whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this the 2nd day of September A. D. 1869

Signed sealed and published in our presence and signed by us in the presence of the said Amanda Clay at her desire.

In vacation of County court. Be it remembered, that, on the 11th day of December 1869, personally appeared before the undersigned William R. TAYLOR, clerk of the county court of the county and state aforesaid John Q. Mitchell and John M. Bean the subscribing witnesses to the annexed will of Amanda Clay and being by me first duly sworn, depose and say that the Amanda Clay the testetor subscribed the same in their presence and published the said will or instrument of writing as her last will, that she the said testator at the time of publishing her said will of sound mind and more than twenty one years of age, and that they the said deponants attested the said will as witnesses thereto by subscribing their names to the same in the presence of said testatorix.

In witness whereof I, William R. Taylor, clerk of the county court of the county of St. Francois and state of said have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed the seal of said court at office in the county aforesaid this 11th day of December 1869.
