Jeanette,
I assume that you both have seen the biographical sketch on the family of
James Washington McCreary in the big Bellevue Valley book? The James
Washington McCreary mentioned in that sketch was born about 1804 in N.C.
and married Mary A. (Polly) Vance, born 1812 in KY, a minor, on Feb. 12,
1829. Known children: John, Allen M., Martha A., Samuel K., Rebecca K.,
William M., Mary J., James F., Philander F., Lucinda/Susan A. McCreary.
This article was compiled by great-grand granddaughters of James
Washington McCreary - Grata Jeter Clark and Daphne Gomillion Storey, both
of Fort Worth, TX. Full mailing addresses are given for these two at the
end of the article. Has anybody attempted to contact them to see what
further information they have on this family, in particular, when and
where James Washington McCreary died and where he is buried?
Bettye
