Alberta Monroe
SULLIVAN - Alberta E. Monroe, 90, of Sullivan passed away at Missouri
Baptist Hospital, February 15, 2007.
Mrs. Monroe was born at Elvins on January 11, 1917 to the late Lawrence and
Blanche (Woods) Hood. She graduated high school there and was united in
marriage to Harley Monroe on November 21, 1953 at what was then known as
Flat River. They made their home in Sullivan where Alberta became involved
with the Ladies Auxiliary at the local hospital and Order of Eastern Star.
Alberta was also a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church of
Bourbon.
Survived by: Two half-brothers, Fred Goad and wife Carol and Jim Goad and
wife Ruth, of the lead-belt area; other relatives and a host of friends. In
lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to First United Methodist
Church of Bourbon in the name of Alberta and Harley Monroe.
