Lans L. Vines

WAPPAPELLO - Lans L. Vines, 79, of Wappapello passed away March 3, 2007 at
St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born August 12, 1927 at
Spruce Pine, AL.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and Army during the last days
of WWII and during the Korean War. He was a life member of D.A.V. and V.F.W.
Post 3416 of Wappapello. He also enjoyed fishing in Mississippi.

Preceded in death by Parents, John T. and Lizzie (Bowkin) Vines; Three
Brothers; One Sister.

Survived by Wife, Peggy L. (Barrett) Vines of Wappapello; Five Sons, Mike
Swindle of Searcy, AR, Lans L. Vines, Jr. of Bonne Terre, Rick L. Vines of
St. Louis, Otto J. Vines of Louisiana, David A. Vines of Park Hills; One
Daughter, Debra Stegall of Bonne Terre; 12 Grandchildren and 10
Great-Grandchildren; One Sister, Sally Jones of Fordyce, AR.

Visitation Tuesday, March 6 from 5-9 p.m. at C Z Boyer & Son Funeral Home in
Desloge. Services Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at C Z Boyer & Son Chapel in
Desloge. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery.
