In the Circuit Court of Jackson County Missouri at kansas city
Jevenile Division: In re adoption of Karan Jean Sanderson Coy and
Mary Sechrest Petitioners. No. A. 17167 Now on this 16th day of March
1950 the petition of Coy and Mary Sechrest, asking for the adoption
of Karan Jean Sanderson and the verified consent of the mother of
said child, being filed herein and said cause coming on to be heard
and the report of Richard B. Kirwan, guardian ad litem for the child
in these proccedings having been made the mior Karan Jean Sanderson
being present tin person and by guardian ad litem evidence being
heard cause submitted the court finds that the allegations in said
petition are true that said child has been in the actual and lawful
custody of petitioners for mare than nine months preceding the
adoption herein that said child is a minor under the age of 14 years
and resides in jackson county missouri born on the 25th day of march
1948 and that all investigations were had according to law the court
further finds the mother is the sole parent and that the petition for
adoption and the parental consent to such adoption are in legal form
and that the report of the guardian ad litem is favorable to said
adoption and it goes on to say that the persons who are wonting to
adopt are fully capable of takeing care of the child. and it states
that the name of said child shall be changed to Patricia Ann Sechrest
signed by thomas j. gill clerk of the circuit court. and that it is
record in book no 14 at page no 438 in his office. and dated march
30th 1950
