To those interested in Voter Registration Records:
Only one person responded who had experience with
these records, this is what she told me they include:
"I have one record of a voter registration from 1900.
All it tells is address, name, where born (state or
country), color, term or residence (how long they
lived at the current address), when they were
naturalized and at what court, date of application to
be registered, and then check marks for each time they
voted."
I called City Hall to try and get one for my
g-grandfather. The staff told me you must know the
Ward and Precinct the person lived in. I know the
ward but not the precinct. I was told that if you know
the ward, there are not that many different precincts
and you can go through the microfilm yourself and try
to find your ancestor. (If you are lucky to live in
St. Louis).
