I am just starting my search for my GGrandmother Henrietta Rohmann Bennett. She was born in St. Louis, MO, married John Bennett on April 25, 1896, moved around the country as John was a railroad man, and returned to St. Louis when John died in 1904 in Colorado. I believe I have found Henrietta's family in the 1880 Census for St. Louis. Father-Herman, Mother-Louisa, Children: Henry, Annie, Willie, Lena, Ernst, Henrietta, Herman and Louis. John and Henrietta's daughter, Ruth Elizabeth married Harry Blenden and was my Grandmother. Most of the information I have word-of-mouth from her, but the census confirms a couple of her stories. Herman was a "gardener" in the Census but in reality had a very large garden and sold vegetables at market in St. Louis each day for restaurants and stores. My grandmother's favorite Uncle Louie was a driver for Busch Beer. Please -- if anyone has any information on this family to help with my search I would greatly appreciate it.
