We may be distant cousins. There weren't many Hongsermeyers, especially married to a Russell

My name is Bill Brown.
My mother (died in 1997) was born Mildred Laura Russell in 1923 (might be off a year or two) to John and Laura Russell. Grandma Russell's maiden name was Hongsermeyer.

I never knew my grandpa Russell, since he died when my Mom either pre-teen or a teenager. Granda Russell died in St. Louis in 1967.

There were several Russell kids and I didn't know all of them. John, Laverne, Earl (my middel name is Earl), Marie, Bill (my first name) and a few more I never met. My father, who is still alive knows more details.

The Hongsermeyers who would have been my great-grandparents are buried in St. Louis in Zion Cemetary (along with grandma Russell and others). William (1863-1934) and Kathrine (1867-1937).

I didn't know the maiden name of my grandma until my dad told me a cousin was trying to trace our ancestry. This cousin would have been the daughter of Marie Russell.
