There seems to be much confusion on the Womack, Wamack, Warmack names. Are they all one and the same?
Surely they are connected.

I have a copy of a Certificate of Death for Martha Jane Ward,
wife of Iverson "Ice" Ward. (Iverson, the son of Meshack Ward and Elizabeth Wilson) Martha Jane born Polk County, Illinois on 31 Dec 1838 and died 23 Jan 1937 in Wayne County, Mo.

Martha Jane's father is listed as Mr. Warmack and mother as Miss Hogg. In the GONE HOME CEMETERY INSCRIPTIONS OF WAYNE COUNTY there is a Frank M. Wamack listed as buried in the Womack or Stanley Creek
Cemetery, born Jan 1837....no other date. In the same listing Frank M. Wamack is shown as the son of Ransom P.
Warmack and Martha E. Hogg.

Although Martha Jane Ward's 'Certificate of Death' shows that she was buried at the Rucker Cemetery on 24 Jan 1937, there is no listing for her in the Gone Home books. The informant on the Certificate of Death was Martha Jane's daughter Lillie Shipton.

Hopefully this info will clear up some confusion.
