Hinds County Gazette

Died
At the residence of her husband D.
X. Brown, near Utica, Tuesday morning,
January 15th 1895, at 7 o’clock,
Mrs. Maggie E. Brown, aged 54 years.
Again has the angel of death crossed
the threshold of a happy home and
taken from it its brightest treasure.
After long, weary months of suffering,
which she bore with the fortitude
patience and resignation of a devout
Christian, there passed from the home
and community one admired and well
beloved for her many virtues, but who
yet will live in the memories of those
who were fortunate in being bound
unto her by the ties of consanguinity
affection and friendship.
“Go to the graves; at noon from labor cease,
Rest on thy sheaves, thy harvest work is
