Mrs. Betty Alice Brown, 74, of Vancleave died October 5, 2008 in Ocean
Springs, MS.
She was born in Wortham, a small community outside of Gulfport, Harrison
County, MS.
Her first jobs were in the kitchen of several local restaurants. In April of
1968, Betty was chosen to be in the group of employees who opened Ocean
Springs Hospital. She was a steady force in the Dietary Department for 25
years. She was an active member of the New Light Missionary Baptist Church,
Vancleave.
She was preceded in death by her son, Nick Alonzo Williams, three brothers,
Gary O'Neal Williams, Bobbie Ray Williams and Ezekiel Williams and a
grandson, Lionel Nathaniel Dayan Wells.
Burial will be in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Vancleave, Jackson County, MS.
