Charles L. Whatley, 66, Woodbridge, VA, passed away on Tuesday, 7 Oct 2008
at Inova Fairfax Hospital, Falls Church, VA.
Mr. Whatley was born on 12 May 1942 in Pascagoula, MS, the son of Leslie
"Scooter" Whatley and Dortha Cummins Whatley.
Mr. Whatley served two years in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1961 in Germany.
Mr. Whatley is survived by his wife of 31 years, Paula; one daughter, Diana
Pospichal, Seewalchen, Austria; four sons, Bryan Whatley, Schwarzenbach,
Germany; Charles V. Whatley, Hof, Germany; Ryan Dailey, McLean, VA; and
Brian Dailey, Aldie, Virginia; sister-in-law Beth Kelley, Stafford, VA;
brother-in-law Mike Morrison, Culpeper, VA; future daughter-in-law Kimberley
Sisco, McLean, VA; three granddaughters, Chelsi Dailey, Huber Heights, OH;
Naomi Pospichal, Seewalchen, Austria; and Katina Black, Baldwin City, KS;
one grandson, Leonard Pospichal, Seewalchen, Austria; as well as several
cousins, aunts and uncles.
Mr. Whatley was preceded in death by his father, mother and three brothers.
Visitation will be at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City,
VA. A memorial service, with military honors, will be held in the chapel of
the funeral home.
