Reverend Dr. Reginald J. Montgomery, a native of Baton Rouge, LA, born
November 19, 1954, and a resident of Saraland, AL, departed this life
Sunday, October 12, 2008.
He was Founder & Pastor of Freedom Outreach Ministries, Citronelle, AL.
He was member of The Greater Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Pascagoula,
Jackson County, MS.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving & devoted wife Wendy Howze
Montgomery, two daughters Mercedes, Portland, OR & Leah Montgomery,
Saraland, AL. Father, Leatrice (Naomi) Montgomery, Baton Rouge, LA, four
brothers, Rev. Gregory (Valeria) Montgomery, Canton, GA, Cedric & Clayton
Lampkins, Elder Leroy (Amber) Johnson all of Baton, Rough, LA, one sister
Anya(Andre) Lindley, Marietta, GA, two godchildren, Aliyah Lawson and
Gabrielle Taylor, a devoted mother-in-law, Geraldine Osburn, four
brother-in-laws, four sister-in-laws, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives
and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 16, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
at Gilmer's Funeral Home, Friday, October 17, 2008 from 12 noon until 2:00
p.m. funeral hour Truelight Baptist Church 2001 W. Main Street, Prichard,
AL, Rev. Michael Howard, Pastor, Dr. John W. Davis, Sr. Officiating
Minister. Interment: Gethsemane Cemetery, 800 Mobile St, Mobile, AL.
