GILLY
Mr. Michael Anthony Gilly, 27, of Mobile, Ala., formerly of Pascagoula, Miss.
He was born Jan. 24, 1978 in Pascagoula, Miss.
Mr. Gilly was a mechanical engineering student at University of South Alabama
where he was a senior due to graduate in May. Michael was an active member
of Pi Tau Figma honor sorority at University of South Alabama. He was a 1996
Pascagoula High School graduate.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, Lester and Hazel Baker, and a brother,
David Baker.
Survivors included his parents, Bobbie (Les) Baker of Pascagoula, Miss.;
father, Michael G. (Karen) Gilly of Pascagoula, Miss.; son, Ethan Michael Gilly
of Mobile, Ala.; former wife, Chery Gilly of Mobile, Ala.; brother, Todd
(Karen) Baker of Bryant, Arkansas; sister, Jennifer (Lester) Chanbonnet of
Pascagoula, Miss.; sister, Kelli ( Steve) Miller of Bainbridge, Georgia; brother,
John "Josh" Gilly of Pascagoula, Miss.; brother, Bryan Gilly of Pascagoula,
Miss.; brother, Derrick Medjeski of Pascagoula; grandmother, Bobbie J. Panter of
Pascagoula, Miss.; grandparents, Shannon and Jo Gilly of Pascagoula, Miss.;
nieces, Courtney and Carley Charbonnet of Pascagoula, Miss.; niece, Lauren
Baker of Bryant, Ark.; nephews, Tucker, Grafton and Sawyer Miller of
Bainbridge, Ga.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Aunt Evelyn Kay [Gilly]
and William Curtis Waltman in Jackson County, Escatawpa, Miss. and nieces
Wendy Shereen [Alejandro] DeLeon and Gretchen Adair [Victor] Cruze.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 2005, at Jackson
County Funeral Services in Escatawpa, Miss.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday Feb. 22, 2005, at the Ingalls Avenue
Baptist Church in Pascagoula, Miss., with Rev. John Turner officiating. Mr. Gilly
will be at the church for one hour before service time.
Burial will follow in Jackson County Memorial Park in Pascagoula.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Hinton, Jason Krebs, Phillip Judy, John Ledbetter,
Jeremy Cook and Eric Rensinc. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryan Gilly and
Derrick Medjeski.
Arrangements by Jackson County Funeral Services in Escatawpa, Miss., locally
owned and operated.
