OK I see. My Annie was born in around 1849 in Virginia, or at least she indicates that she is from VA in the 1870 Census. I know that she is from Monroe County, mostly because that is where she and Beverley Chandler were married, but also because that is the primary area that the Vaughans of Clay/Lowndes/Chickasaw and even Lee County lived in. She and Beverly were recieved a marriage certificate in 1878 in Monroe County. She died in 1879 giving birth to a child in Palo Alto, Clay County, MS. I think that she was born more around 1840 or even earlier because she had a teenage child in the 1870 Census. That's about all I can tell you about her. What info do you have on the older Annie in the slave documents.?
