I've been looking for several yrs. where John Wilson who was living in
Lawrence County, Mississippi in 1824, came from. He was on several tax list in the
1820's. He married Mary Jane Jenny Norman in 1824, also in Lawrence Co. Ms.
He is not listed on the the 1830 census of Lawrence Co. Ms. He is listed on a
Benjamin Wilson's will in Lawrence Co. Ms. in the 1830's. I have no other
record of him. I know by a bible record, and census' records, that he and Jane
had a son Rodolphus Wilson born in Dec. of 1838. On the 1840 census Jane is
head of household in Pike County, Mississippi. note: Mary Jane Jenny, John
Wilson's wife, had a 1st husband, Hiram Norman, they married 1815 in Marion
County, Ms, and lived in Lawrence and Amite counties in Ms. Hiram died in 1819.
