I am a ggrandson of Martha Slocumb and William Marion Clifton.
Martha (Mattie) and William married in Amite County and then came to Hays County, Texas. Martha's mother Mary came to Texas with them. Elijah had died. Mary stayed in Texas for several years and then returned to Mississippi to be with her daughter Mary. I would like to have more information on this family if you have it.
