Thanks so much LaNelle. I am just now beginning to research this marriage.
The Heralds/Harralds and Stuckeys I mentioned are my ancestors. I have been
trying to find J. M. and Betty in the 1900 census with no luck. It's very
possible that this man was related to those you mention. I have found a
Dotson family in Attala Co. with a son named James M. H. Dotson. He would
be about the right age to have married Betty who was born in 1868. Right
now that's all I have to go on.

Martha: My ancestors were William Riley Dodson and wife, Aurelia Kelly. We
had relatives who spelled their name "Dotson", but mostly Dodson. They
lived in the Plattsburg, Winston County, MS area; also, Attala and Leake
Counties. Do not know if this information is helpful; if so, I can give you
