Hello,

I spoke with Ann this afternoon. She says to let everyone know that funding for the room is in the budget. Also there is funding for some new materials. The room will not close and she will not lose her job.

This started as a way to replace funds lost when the benefactor died. These funds were used to purchase additional materials and other extras needed for the room.

This situation has blown way out of proportion and I would like to publicly apologize to Everette for suggesting this entire thread. I also would like to include Ann Breedlove and the Central Mississippi Library System in that apology.

I asked while visiting the library how the room was funded and was told that a lady funded it previously but has since passed away and that funding for the future was not certain. As I understand it now this was in reference to new materials and other items. With the best of intentions I approached Everette and started suggesting that there should be a way to help the genealogy room.

I apologize to the list also and promise to keep my good intentions to myself henceforth.
