This Indenture made this Eighth day of June Eighteen hundred and
thirty six Witnesseth that Thomas Moore and his wife Jane Moore of
Claiborne County State of Mississippi for and in consideration of the
sum of five hundred and thirty four dollars to them paid by James
Moore the receipt whereof they hereby acknowledge have granted
conveyed & aliened adn confirmed and by these presents do grant convey
release and confirm unto said James Moore the following real Estate to
wit. Lot No. one of Fractional Section No. twenty three (?) of
Township Eleven of Range No. four East containing forty Eight acres
also an undivided third of Lot No. three of Section No. twenty five of
Township No. Eleven of Range four East containing seventy seven acres
to have and to hold the said premises to him the said James Moore & to
his heirs and assigns forever and the said Thomas Moore do convenant &
agree to warrant and forever defend the said ( several words
unreadable) & Each & Every part & parcel thereof to the said James
Moore his heirs against the right title & Estate of all and Every
person or persons whomsoever in Witness whereof they hereunto set
their names & Seals this the day & date above written

Personally appeared before the undersigned Magistrate in and for Said
County Thomas Moore & Jane Moore his wife who severally acknowledged
that they Signed Sealed and delivered the foregoing deed as their act
and deed and for the purposes therein expressed and on the day and
year therein written Also at the same time the Said Jane Moore wife of
the Said Thomas Moore on her private Examination before me Separate
and apart from her Said Husband acknowledged that she did so
voluntarily and without any fear or threats from her said husband
Given under my hand and seal this 19th day of July 1836

Copiah).
