Rick,

It appears to me that this is a well kept secret. After a month of looking,
and with the help of Pascagoula Public Library Genealogical Librarian, the
address that I finally wrote to:

First Families of MS; 108 S. Commerce St.; Natchez, MS 39120-3308

The response contained the following information:

Requires a Letter of Recommendation, written and signed by two members.
This goes to the Corresponding Sec. Gen., who prepares a list to be
presented to the Council General. All names are voted on, and upon approval
an Invitation is issued. When Invitation is accepted, an Application will
be sent. Need proof of legal marriage and legitimate birth for each
generation back through the ancestor who lived in MS prior to statehood
(1817) with proof that the ancestor was in MS. The completed papers, and
membership fee, are sent to the Registrar Gen. who examines each. When, and
if, approved, applicant will be notified and assigned a number. Viola, your
in!
