I have heard that the Clayton library in Houston is fabulous. I wish I were
closer, about 175 miles from there. Live WAY out in the country, and closest
town has 10,000 people. I believe my cousin Rodney said he checked one
resource, not sure which one, and couldn't find any Darwin listed. This
Darwin had lived across the state line in Choctaw CoAL and owned land there,
so he could have gone back there between 1866 & 1869.

If you run across the name Darwin in anything, sure would appreciate you
letting me know. He was the only one with that surname in the area.
