The MS Archives has the following with the Lobdell family papers, there may
be other information at the Archives.

Oversize items include a May 14, 1841, parchment diploma of John Venable
Lobdell from the Franklin Institute of Bacon College that was founded on
July 4, 1838, and two undated broadsides advertising the Dolbear Commercial
College, New Orleans, Louisiana, which was founded in 1832.

Hi, I am looking for more information on the Franklin Institute
Church in Franklin Co, MS. George W. COPE was associated with
this church which was Methodist but became Presbyterian.
