I have a Martha Ora McCarty who married William Buford "Toby" Shoemaker in my line. Any family connection? I also have a few Read's, McNeil's and Linder's....would love to make a connection.

I just read your email and have information on most of those names as they
also married into my McCarty, Read, or Shoemaker lines - all from Jasper Co.

I have Fred Blackledge married Opal McCarty in 1934.

Several Windham's married into my Read family, and they also married several
Hendry's.

I have lots on McCarty's, so if you will reply to specific names I'll see
what I have.

PS I will be in Jasper Co to do research in September. I live in MD, so
have few opportunities to get to MS. I'd love to meet any of my long lost
cousins at the Bay Springs Library or Court House.

Good evening Frann. First, the email from Reunion.com should be considered
SPAM. They mined all my address book and sent the original message to
everybody. I've deleted Reunion.com from my computer, and sending all
Reunion.com messages to SPAM. I don't appreciate their capacity to get into
my address book and send an unsolicited message to everyone. Well Frann,
I've had my say, so to speak.

As to my family connections? They are McDaniel, McCarty, Blackledge,
Windham. They have mostly been in the Jasper or Jones Co. area. Several of
the McCarty women married into the Smith live as well. If you have any
info, would you mind sharing with me? I'll be glad to share what I have if
you are interested in the families.
