Thanks so much Loretta for your quick
response. I wish we could find a tie also. We have
not had the names you gave us to search. James
and Martha (Saucer) White, or the name Leonard
who married Margaret Malinda Butler. We do know
we are connected to the Whites through James R. (Jim)
White that married Sarah Hughes. Jim White was born
1839 in Al. and died in the Civil War at Vicksburg,
Ms. 1-25-1863 and burried there, We located his Civil
War marker. He and Sarah had 3 children before he
died. Mary Jane White b1857. My great grandmother.
John Robert White b 1858
Henry Warren White b 1860.
We have located descendents of Henry Warren White
in Simpson County and the great grandson of John Robert
White, but have been unable to catch him at home to talk
to him. I am inclined to believe that there is a connection
somewhere if we could just find it. Where are you located
Loretta?. I am from Franklin Co.,Ms. about 100 miles
from Simpson County. I know a lot of our connection is in
Covington, Jeff Davis, Smith and Simpson Counties, but have
not had time to do a lot of checking. Let me know if any of
the names I gave you are familar. Thanks again. Vivian
