Black, White Louisianans Can Trace Ancestry
BATON ROUGE, La., Updated 9:51 p.m. CDT August 2, 2000 --Thanks to a local
historian, a new CD ROM makes it possible for people to trace the ancestry of
Louisiana slaves.

Dr. Gwendolyn Hall spent nearly 20 years compiling almost half a million
slave trade records she found through extensive research of parish courthouse
documents and other resources.
