In March 1790, a list of American Tobacco growers in the Natchez District (of
Spanish West Florida) included a Richard Trevillian.
In Oct-Nov 1798, Richard Trevillion took the Oath of Allegiance in the
Natchez area.
In Dec. 1798, and Abner Trevillion took the Oath of Allegiance, in the
Natchez/Jefferson Co. area.
In 1807, a Richard Trevillian served in the MST Militia as a Pvt., in the
Company of Capt. David Carradine, in the 2nd Regiment Militia, Lt. Col.
Thomas Fitzpatrick.
In the 1805 Jefferson Co. Census, States Trevillon had one male over 21, two
males under 21, two females and no slaves. Also there was a listing for a
Patsey Trevillon with two males over 21, 5 males under 21, no females and no
slaves.
There was a Thomas Temple who obtained land from the British West Florida
government in 1777, so your Temple might be connected with him or his
descendants. A William Temple is noted in the 1810 Amite Co. Census.
You might check the county Tax Rolls for that period - they mostly still
exist.
