Dear Nancy,

I somehow missed just what position "Dr" Reed holds at Alcorn.

I did not misunderstand the death threat included in the last sentence.

No educated man would have to use the street gang language that he used.
Additionally, ignoring the gutter language, I noted at least 6 gramatical
errors in the short letter. Does this indicate the quality of education
to be found at Alcorn?

I believe that both the State House of Representatives and the State
Senate have Higher Education Committees. I have a hunch that they
might have an interest in both the "scholarly" presentation of this
communication and the obvious character of the author.

This whole thing reminds me of an aquaintance who bought a home very
close to an airport. He knew the airport was there when he bought
the property. Yet, guess who was one of the first ones to complain
about the airport noise. Conversely, Reed knew of the cemetery and
of his moral obligation to honor the dead when he bought the property.

It would seem to me that a man in his position would use his influence
to be an example to the students at Alcorn. Obviously, such is not the
case.
