Joy, I grew up outside Lorman and grew up in Cane Ridge Church. Miss Jewell had her special seat on the left side of the church. She was sorely missed when she passed away. I remember her as a pleasant and pretty lady who was always soft-spoken and kind. I remember Dr. Clark, unfortunately, only mostly for the shots he gave. >g< I remember him removing a BB from my thumb very gently. Mother bought Miss Jewell's large oak dining room buffet after she died. I remember going to her house and wondering what was on top of it because it was so tall. Mother is elderly and quite possibly would be willing it sell this piece if you are interested.
