Gin, Here is what I found and I am quoting from PRINTED SOURCES, edited by
Kory L. Meyerink, published by Ancestry Inc., P.O. Box 476, Salt lake City,
Utah 84110-0476, www.ancestry.com, 1998, page 286. "Roman Catholic parish
registers, or sacramental registers as they are officially called, rank
among the best available in terms of genealogical value. Unfortunately,
relatively few have been published. Particularly noteworthy among those
that have are the works of the Rev. Fr. Donald J. Hebert in southern
Louisiana. He has translated, transcribed and published some forty printed
volumes of Louisiana Catholic parish registers: SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA RECORDS
TO 1897 and SOUTHERN LOUISIANA RECORDS TO 1895 ( Hebert Publications, Box
31, Eunice, LA 70535)" Sandra

have been posted. I did not know this. Where, or in what book? Are they
on microfilm. What should I look for? Thanks so much for your help.
